Supporting Implementation of Standards & Accreditation in Victorian PDRS

La Trobe University, through the Australian Institute for Primary Care (AIPC), has been commissioned by the Mental Health Branch, Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide training and support in effective governance and continuous quality improvement to Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services (PDRS).

Specifically, the project aims to enhance the capacity of PDRS

• To facilitate the implementation of service standards and develop structures, processes and systems towards continuous quality improvement
• To participate in regular internal and external review against the standards, including formal accreditation processes.

The project commenced in March 2006 and is due to be completed by the end of June 2007.
