This will be a series of 4 morning seminars held at different sites in Melbourne. Management TrainingThe popular Team Leadership Skills program will be offered again Friday 7 and 14 March, 2008 at VICSERV. Click here for course information and registration. With an 80% success rate, the Diploma of Frontline Management course has seen a number of team leaders and service managers obtain a highly relevant and nationally accredited qualification in this reasonably priced course. The qualification is attained through attending a series of eleven modules spread out over 12 months and undertaking a practical work based project. Click here for an Expression of Interest form. VICSERV has developed a partnership with the Centre for Perceptive Leadership to provide a unique program to reflect our central values and the key issues facing the sector. The Visionary Leader Program is underpinned by five core attributes which provide the leadership foundation for understanding the complexity of interactions that CEO's and Senior Managers have in their environment and the leadership response that creates the team climate in which people are expected to contribute. This exciting and innovative program includes coaching and mentoring will be offered again in 2008 starting Monday 23 June. It was enthusiastically received by senior personnel from organisations that included ASPIRE, SNAP, IEMHSA and EACH that attended the first program delivered late 2007. Our training methods are practical and experientially based providing participants with skills, knowledge and resources that can be applied in a workplace situation. Mental Illness Awareness TrainingWe are well placed to provide training to increase the understanding, knowledge and awareness of mental health issues as well as to improve communication skills for staff working in Local Government, Community Support, Health, Government agencies and/or other specialist service organisations. Training will be beneficial to those staff that may have occasional or ongoing contact with clients with a mental illness.
