Victoria's Specialist Mental Health Workforce Framework: Strategic Directions 2014-24

The Government has released a framework which sets the direction for future mental health workforce planning and development in Victoria.

It provides a ten-year vision and strategy to ensure the mental health workforce is well positioned to meet the needs of people with mental illness, their carers and families, now and into the future.

Strategy and implementation plans have been developed for Clinical Mental Health and Mental Health Community Support Services (MHCSS). For more information, and to access the framework and implementation plans, click here.

Community Mental Health Australia (CMHA) has publicly released the Developing the Workforce: Community Managed Mental Health Sector National Disability Insurance Scheme Workforce Development Scoping Paper.

The report was designed to assist in identifying the needs of the disability sector, including consumers and providers, to transition to the NDIS environment.
